Classroom and Lab Usage
Columbia College encourages full use of its classrooms and labs for student and work purposes. If you find an unoccupied, closed room, please ask a staff member to open it for you. If a class is scheduled to use the room, kindly vacate it promptly.
Room Booking
To book a room, email registrar@columbia.ab.ca with the desired date, time of day, and number of people. Rooms can be reserved for a maximum of 2 hours and may be shared with others.
Tutoring Services
Free drop-in tutoring is available for ESL students. For other programs, Department Chairs/Directors can request tutoring services through the Coordinator of Student Further Education or arrange tutoring for individual students. A fee may apply.
Computer Workstations
Computers are available in buildings 4, 803, and 805 for your use, as well as various software to help you develop keyboarding skills, basic academic skill improvement, and necessary programs to help you complete assignments.
Internet Access
- To access the wireless network in all buildings, please select ‘COLUMBIA_Guest’. The password is available from Bldg. 802-Main Office and the Bookstore 802-122. If you plan to use your laptop or personal electronic device in class, please make sure it is fully charged when coming to class.
