Overview

Are you looking to pursue a career as a professional investigator in Alberta?

The Security Services and Investigator’s Act requires individuals working in investigative positions to hold a valid license. To secure this license, completion of a mandatory training program and a provincial exam is required. At Columbia College, we are proud to offer the Alberta Investigator’s Training Course, a comprehensive program consisting of nine modules designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to excel as a professional investigator.

With higher exam success rates compared to the provincial average, we ensure you are thoroughly prepared to pass the provincial exam and obtain your license. Now offered both online and in-person, this course provides flexibility while maintaining quality. Our classroom-based option adds structure, real-time support, direct access to instructors, and more opportunities for hands-on learning and discussion—ideal for learners who thrive through interaction and guided instruction.
