Alberta Professional Development (PD) Funding
The Alberta Professional Development (PD) Funding program provides financial support to eligible Early Childhood Educators (ECEs) in Alberta to help them build their skills, advance their careers, and work toward higher levels of certification. The funding can be used for workshops, conferences, post-secondary courses, and learning materials that strengthen relevant skills in early childhood education, leadership, administration, and management.
Are you eligible for PD funding?
Eligible ECEs may receive up to $500 towards completing a workshop such as Columbia’s Managing Complex Behaviours Workshop.
To be eligible for PD funding, you must meet the following requirements:
- Be a paid employee or a contracted family day home educator for a licensed childcare program
- hold a certificate as an Early Childhood Educator Level 1, 2, or 3
- Be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada
- Have worked at least 29 hours in at least one from from the date of the expenditure of the date the application was received
