Every parent knows that diapers are an essential item for any baby, but for many families, the cost of diapers can be a financial burden. In fact, diapers are one of the most requested items at food banks across Canada, and the Calgary Food Bank has been working hard to address this need with their annual Bare Bottoms Diaper Drive.
The Bare Bottoms Diaper Drive is an initiative that runs during the month of May, where individuals, businesses, and organizations can donate diapers and baby wipes to help families in need. The drive has been running for over a decade and has helped countless families in the Calgary area.
This year, Columbia College Child Care Centre is proud to be participating as a drop-off location for the Bare Bottoms Diaper Drive. As a community-minded organization, Columbia College recognizes the importance of giving back and supporting those in need, and the Bare Bottoms Diaper Drive is a great way to do just that.
The Child Care Centre will be accepting donations of diapers, formula, baby food, shampoo, body wash and baby wipes throughout the month of May. All sizes of diapers are welcome, from newborn to size 6, and both open and unopened packages are accepted. See a detailed list of items accepted below.
If you’re interested in supporting the Bare Bottoms Diaper Drive, you can drop off your donations at Columbia College Child Care Centre throughout the month of May. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a difference and help ensure that every baby has access to the diapers they need.
