We are actively responding to the COVID-19 pandemic and ensuring to follow directions from the Government and focus on the safety of all of us. This page will be updated frequently so please check back to review the most current information.

Thank you to all of our students, staff, faculty, and community. We have seen a lot of change since March and are all trying to find our balance. We are proud that our faculty and staff have been flexible and innovative and our students have been patient and motivated to begin or continue their education.

As always, Columbia College strives to provide a safe and secure environment for our students, staff, faculty, and community. We will continue to provide the best education and support that we are able to, even if it is currently at a distance.

Our professional programs follow Columbia’s unique and effective Four Stage Leaner-Centered Model and many of our programs now include the more advanced Mastery Learning Model. Columbia College is one of the few post secondary institutions in North America that follow the Mastery Learning Model. The Mastery Learning Model has enabled Columbia College to achieve one of the highest graduation rates in North America (over 90%). This has lead to what we believe is one of the highest rates of student employment success in their field of education. Our commitment to student success has not changed. All that has changed is that for now, we are delivering education at a distance. Students and much of the faculty work from home while our staff still provide our students with the supports they need from a distance in order to continue their educational journey while staying safe.
As of June 1, 2020 post secondary institutions may begin to move back to face-to-face classes. This does not mean that all programs will be back on campus immediately. Columbia College will make transitional decisions, in this regard, from week to week with deliberation and focus to keep everyone safe. The college will continue to move forward with transparency and keep our entire community informed so each individual can plan and know what steps are being taken next.
