Join our Continuing Education EAL program and start your language learning journey. Our experienced EAL instructors use various methods to help you learn English with confidence. You will practice using English in real-life situations and learn idioms, vocabulary, and grammar to communicate appropriately.
Course Highlights
- Cost: $350 per course (plus $40 textbook)

- Duration: 8 weeks (40 hours)
- Class Schedule: Mon/Wed or Tue/Thurs (6:30pm - 9:00pm)

Course Information
Online
- Classes are taught through Microsoft Teams. Our well-trained and experienced staff will provide training and support to students who require additional assistance with online language training.
Continuing Education EAL courses use an on-going method of assessment to measure students’ level of proficiency and their progress:
- Placement assessment will be used to identify the students’ starting level in the course.
- Formative assessment will be administered during the course delivery on a regular basis to measure the students’ progress and identify changes in the learning needs.
- Final assessment will summarize the progress and will determine a portion of the final mark.
A certificate of completion is issued to the students who achieve 70% or higher in the course.
Improve Your Listening and Speaking Skills
In this course, we will provide you with effective strategies to improve your conversation skills and develop fluency in spoken English. You will learn when to use formal and informal language, and expand your understanding of idioms, vocabulary, and grammar. The program will also assist you in enhancing your presentation skills and developing culturally appropriate communication.

Improve Your Reading, Writing, & Grammar Skills
In this course, you will have the opportunity to enhance your reading skills by focusing on strategies to improve reading speed, fluency, comprehension, grammar, and vocabulary. Additionally, you will learn effective techniques for composing well-developed sentences, paragraphs, and essays. This course will also help you develop academic skills that are essential for your success in other academic courses and programs.
