The Pressure Point Control Tactics (PPCT) course offers a scientifically engineered system that analyzes assault patterns and provides tactical solutions based on science and motor performance. As the most popular and recognized entry-level defensive tactics course available, PPCT equips participants with the knowledge and skills required for making arrests using force consistent with Section 494 and Section 25 c.c.

- PPCT is a physically demanding course, and individuals with preexisting injuries, especially in the shoulders and knees,

- Upon successfully completing an authorized PPCT course, individuals become eligible to take the mandatory exam.
- Columbia College issues a certificate of completion after passing the written exam with a score of 80% or better, as well as the pass-fail practical exam.
- With this certificate, individuals can add baton and use of force training to their existing license.
- The PPCT certificate remains valid for 3 years.
