Introducing Strategic De-escalation, an introductory course designed to equip individuals with essential skills in human physiology, use-of-force decision making, situational awareness, and tactical communication strategies for effectively understanding and de-escalating challenging situations. Developed using cutting-edge cognitive behavioral research and insights from experienced front-line communicators, this course is accredited by the Alberta Solicitor General, making it suitable for peace officers and security personnel.
While initially tailored for law enforcement and security personnel, this program is also applicable to Front Line positions, empowering individuals to intervene and gain control in potentially hazardous situations. Verbal control tactics, an integral part of this strategy, can be utilized across various scenarios, resolving around 99% of all situations.
Participants will be issued a certificate of completion upon passing the final exam with 80% or better.
